Both work. NOVA is a voice agent, so you can speak any of these prompts, but you can also paste them in as text. The agent runs the same either way.

Does the computer-use prompt work on Mac and Linux?

The deep desktop control tools, including the UI Automation finder, clicking, and typing, are Windows-only. The web research, automation, and mission prompts run across platforms on the core toolset.

Do I need anything installed before the automation prompt works?
